Rising violence: A staggering 73% of retailers noted an increase in shoplifters’ aggression over the past year, while 91% observed more violent behavior compared to 2019.
Multi-person theft: Coordinated theft incidents involving two or more individuals continue to rise, often linked to organized retail crime (ORC) groups. Retailers tracking these incidents reported a 57% increase from 2022 to 2023.
